St Bonnet, 03210 Noyant d'Allier, Allier, France
St Bonnet is a 6 Acre smallholding located in the heart of the Allier, Auvergne, France. It is a traditional farm house
with attached barn/stables which historically was used to house cattle, pigs and donkeys. There is also a separate small
outbuilding which was used as a dairy, had a bread oven and also an enclosed area that was used to house pigs.
When we purchased St Bonnet in December 2012, the fields and the woods had not been used or maintained for over 15
years, the fields were overgrown and all the fencing had collapsed or non existent. The house and barns were totally
neglected and run down, the house was in an appalling state with rising damp and dangerous decades old electrics and the
barns were full of caked manure and straw mix on the floors. We quickly set about renovating the property and making
everything safe and usable.
The house and barn have a large garden which runs round all 4 sides of the property and there are several seating areas
from where you can idle away your time just relaxing and watching the llamas in the fields, alternatively you could try
something more energetic and play ball with the dogs. The garden and fields are all completely fenced using stock fencing
and are safe for walking and exercising your own dogs should you wish to bring them with you, we ask you to read our
Dog Ts & Cs
Our fields are split into two areas, a relatively flat upper field and a lower field which forms a small valley with
deciduous woods to the sides and bottom area. The woods provide natural shade for the llamas during summer and act as a
wind break during the winter, the hills provide an ideal place for the llamas to play chase during the long summer
evenings when it is cool.
The patio area is perfect for enjoying summer evenings with a glass of wine and food prepared on the BBQ whilst listening
to the myriad of birds and other wildlife which live in the woods which border 3 sides of the farm.
