We currently have several female llamas for sale.  However, as they are all due to give birth within the next few weeks, they could not be legally transported to their new homes yet and so if sold would need to remain here until after their cria have been born and are old enough and strong enough to be transported.  All of the females will be sold with cria at foot as their cria will not be weaned until they are approx 6 months of age. All the females are in excellent health, they have been registered with LAREU ( Lama & Aplaca Registeries Europe) and hold LAREU Passports, they are micro-chipped, wormed and vaccinated regularly.  They are all halter and lead trained. In France, llamas are officially classed as a domestic animal and may not enter the food chain, there is no legal requirement to maintain records of medication used although we prefer to do this for our own peace of mind.  As they are domestic animals there is also no need to register your smallholding in order to obtain a Cheptel Number (similar to a smallholding number in the UK) from the Chamber of Agriculture.  Basically it is the same process as owning a dog or cat…but llamas are much bigger. If you are interested in purchasing any of the females, please be aware that we will need to ask for evidence of the amount of land available for them, the type of pasture available and what shelter is available for their use. All of the llamas are owned privately by us and not owned by our business, therefore the sale of the llamas is purely a private sale and will therefore the price will not attract any TVA (Tax). We can deliver the llamas personally anywhere in France and would only charge for the cost of fuel and tolls.  We can also arrange for delivery of the Llamas anywhere in Europe.  We will arrange for all necessary blood tests (TB, Brucellosis and Bluetongue) and veterinary examinations required prior to transportation.  We can also liaise directly with the International Transporters directly to ensure the timely and safe arrival of your purchased llamas. We will provide anyone purchasing individual or pairs of llamas with the option of attending a free, hands on 1 day  llama training course and we will provide lifelong 24x7 telephone or e-mail support and advice when needed.  Should anyone purchase all of the females and their cria, they will be given a 5 day intensive llama training course should they wish. If you would like to visit our farm and see the llamas for yourself, please call and we can organise a mutually convenient time for you to visit. We feel it important to explain why we have pregnant llamas for sale when we officially retired from llama breeding quite some time ago; In March 2015 all the females (which were not pregnant at the time) had been provisionally sold (pending successful blood tests, export licenses and final payment) to a female client in Portugal who stated that she had extensive prior experience with llamas and wished to breed and trek llamas in Portugal, the client also requested that we assist her in identifying a suitable stud male for her herd and she requested that she would like the females to be pregnant when they arrive in Portugal.  Having assisted in achieving all her requests and put the llamas into quarantine and had all the blood tests done (which came back clear) and export licenses with the French State Veterinary Service, we eventually discovered (we had been requesting photos and details for 4 months) that the client had misinformed us about the suitability of the available grazing for the llamas (the photos sent through of the intended field showed it to be an orchard full of olive trees and dead bracken (Bracken is carcinogenic and would have eventually resulted in a slow and very painful death for the llamas and their babies)) with no grass whatsoever, also the stabling that was supposed to have been in the process of being built and available for their arrival had not been finished (we do not believe it was ever started).  She also breached the written contract for the final payment of the llamas and at one point tried to arrange for 5 big llamas to be collected in a small Renault Traffic Van by a driver without a License for the Transportation of Live Animals (we refused).  As a result of this, we cancelled the sale of the llamas and informed the French State Veterinary Service of our decision, which they fully supported.  Therefore, we now have pregnant females for sale. Thank you for visiting our web site, we hope you enjoy and benefit from the information and pictures provided for your pleasure.
