Our 1 day Fencing Course is designed for those who are considering doing their own fencing or want to  understand what is involved in fencing a smallholding.  The course covers the following areas: During the course these are some of the general areas that we cover: • Pre planning and layout considerations, • Fencing hills, ditches, rivers, etc • Types of fencing, costs • Fencing equipment, costs • Electric fencing, energisers, costs • Gates, types, uses, hanging, costs • Maintenance • Q&A Safety is paramount when working with fencing equipment and everything will be explained and demonstrated thoroughly before you are asked to physically participate.  All instruction whilst fencing is done under close supervision.  This is a hands on course and you will be working with wire and fencing equipment to erect actual fencing, it is physically demanding and dirty work.   You should make sure you are wearing clothing suitable for outdoor work and with regards to the time of the year.  For safety reasons we we recommend you bring steel toe capped boots and also a good pair of heavy duty working gloves. The minimum age for attending this course is 16 years. The typical day will be: 0830 Tea/Coffee and safety  briefing 0900 Commence 1200 Lunch 1330 Commence 1730 Finish and Q&A Refreshments will be made available throughout the day. Price : The cost of the 1 day course is €130 Per Person (approx £100*) which also includes lunch and non alcoholic refreshments throughout the day (Teas,Coffee, Juice, Water etc). * Depending on the exchange rate at the time of payment For more information about any of our smallholding courses or to make a booking, please just telephone or send us an e- mail. Payment A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your course.  All outstanding monies are to be paid by cash on arrival at the farm.  Both Sterling or Euros are accepted. Sorry but we do not accept card payments. Refunds A full refund will be made if you provide us with notification to cancel your course via e-mail at least 30 days in advance of the course commencement date. A full refund of your deposit will also be made if we have to cancel your course.
